The yellow month is every year in March. It's a month dedicated to children's liver disease.
This year and in this context, the "Big Yellow Friday" is taking place on Friday, March 6, 2020, to raise awareness of these diseases among the public.

The first liver transplantation into children was carried out in 1989 in Switzerland, more precisely at the University Hospitals of Geneva (HUG), by Prof. Claude Le Coultre and Prof. Dominique Belli, who thus set up the cornerstone of the Swiss Children's Liver Centre (CSFE).
We are pleased to offer you in this special issue of the Swisstransplant magazine an overview of developments in the field of liver transplantation in children and an overview of the CSFE.
On the occasion of the national organ donantion day on 7 September 2019, the University Hospitals of Geneva and Swisstransplant organised an event at the Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Swiss paediatric liver center.
Professionals, children and families gathered during this day: creative workshops for children, conferences on liver transplantation in children, moments of sharing and reunion, the day was rich in emotion for young and old!
The application developed by the Swiss Center for Childhood Liver Disease won first prize in the Challenge, awarded last November. This innovative platform is a "serious game," allowing children and adolescents who have already undergone a transplant or who are preparing for one, to understand their illness and their medical file so as to monitor their illness more effectively.

Four children with transplants joined players during the match between Xamax and Lucerne, in Maladière. Beyond soccer, they wanted to highlight the importance of organ donation.
Just like every year, Tackers is organizing a ski and snowboard camp for young transplant recipients aged 6 to 14 from all over the world!
This year, the camp was held in Anzère in Valais, from March 10 to 17, 2019.
